BelSU graduate won a golden medal in Rio

Master graduate of BelSU Physical Education Department Eugeniy Tischenko won 11th golden medal for Russian team at Olympics-2016 in Rio de Janeiro

25 years old boxer Eugeniy Tischenko, who has performed in under 91 kg category, beat Vasiliy Levit from Kazakhstan and won a golden medal of XXXI Olympic games.

The rivalry of Russian and Kazakhstani boxing school is classical for every international competition. The beginning of the fight was predictable: Vasiliy Levit tried to act first, and Tischenko has kept the distance, using the vantage of his long arms. The match was breathtaking, with many dangerous blows. Levit tried to engage Tischenko into the fight, but Eugeniy didnt abandon his tactics despite his wound, said sports experts.

The result of the match is 3:0 (29−28, 29−28, 29−28). The golden medal went to Russian sportsman.

Both of us didnt know who will win. I gave it all for that. Ive tried to be an attacker, but missed some hard blows. Ive tried to counter every blow; Ive done my best to win and judges agree with that. Thanks to my rival, it was the hardest match on a tournament, said Tischenko.
