BNRU Links Up with the Hanoi University of Science and Technology

Russian universities have signed an agreement on cooperation in education and science with partner universities from Vietnam

The signing of a Cooperation Agreement with the representatives of leading Russian higher educational institutions took place as a Vietnamese delegation lead by Nguyễn Phú Trọng, the Secretary-General of the Communist Party of Vietnam, visited the 'Hanoi-Moscow' complex. 12 universities from the Russian Federation and 12 Vietnamese universities signed the agreement. BNRU and Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) were among the signatories.

BNRU's Dr Vladislav Kuchmisty, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, met with Professor Nguyễn Văn Trào, the president of HUST, and his counterpart Dr Nguyễn Ngọc Thấn, Director of HUST's International Office. This agreement is the culmination of a process started back in December 2017, when a team from BNRU paid a working visit to Vietnam. The agreement signed on 7th September involves cooperation in the field of science and education.

HUST was founded in 1956 following the liberation of North Vietnam from France, and is one of four universities that received autonomy in 2014. The university offers programs in the art and humanities, business and social sciences, language and culture, medicine and health, and engineering, as well as scientific technology. Bachelor's programs are taught in 10 languages, namely English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Russian, French, German, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese. Master's and Postgraduate programs are offered in Russian, English, French and Chinese.
