Pegasus Takes Wings

Belgorod State University ran its 'Pegasus' Project Management Summer School for the 7th time. It takes place at the University's Nezhegol Campus, 30km from the city, and involves students from across the Russian speaking world

The University runs the School with help from CIS Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation. The program seeks to stimulate the entrepreneurial spirit of its young participants. They bring their ideas to the school, and they are given help in developing their projects from a resident group of experts. This year the main expert in residence was Alexander Stoma, an award-winning businessman, speaker and consultant based in Moscow. Mr Stoma founded an HR company, and is skilled in PR, and the ways of modern business. He talked about how to communicate effectively with investors, and others, when launching your business, among many other things. The insights from him and other experts helped students to prepare relevant, modern, and hopefully profitable schemes. This year, the projects were all related to IT, modern technology, and social media. The program also included master classes in project management, personal development, investment and predicting future trends in business. Other than their projects, students enjoyed a program of sports and recreation laid on by the organisers. The whole project comes under the purview of Dr Svetlana Ostrikova, Vice-Rector for Education and Youth Affairs, and Dr Viktor Zakharov, Director of the Institute of Economics and Management.
