Belgorod State University projects won prizes at the 71st international 'Ideas - Innovations - New Developments' conference held in Nuremberg in Germany
iENA 2019 is a globally significant events in the world of inventions and innovations. It is sponsored by the Government of the State of Bavaria, the German Federal Ministry of Education and Scientific Research, and is supported by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), and the International Federation of Inventive Associations (IFIA), and is considered extremely prestigious.
The first project on show from us was 'A Way to Obtain a Three-dimensional Stabilised Panoramic Image' by Professor Igor Konstantinov, Dr Sergey Lazarev and postgraduate Yuri Maslakov, which won a silver medal. The team developed a new technology to allow real-time recording of high-resolution digital images based on a scalable multi-cameras.
The second project was the 'X-ray Fluorescence Wire Scanner of Ionising Radiation Beam Profiles' by our own Professor Alexander Kubankin, Dr Ramazan Nachmudinov, and postgraduate Anna Kapliy, working with Professor Pavel Karataev of the Royal Holloway College at the University of London. Their research, which measures ionising radiation beams won a bronze medal, on the back of an award from the Thai National Research Council.
