New infrastructure facilities opened at the university

The ceremony was attended by representatives of the university administration, teachers, students and university staff. The symbolic red ribbon at the doors of the renovated college dining hall was cut by the NRU “BelSU” rector, Professor Oleg Polukhin, the medical college acting director Galina Degaltseva, and the chairman of the student union bureau Tamara Ivanova. Congratulating the staff on such a wonderful event, the rector noted that the medical college has changed significantly in recent years.

- We continue to improve the college infrastructure. This year we will complete the college upgrade: we are going to improve the courtyard, make parking, and repair several classrooms, - said Oleg Nikolaevich.

Another significant event of the day was the opening of the student office. It has become a new venue for creative, volunteer and scientific events, discussion of student projects. The student office has everything needed for productive work of college’s active core groups: modern technology, a comfortable seating area and a kitchen corner for drinking tea.

Oleg Nikolayevich talked with students in a new audience and answered questions regarding improving living conditions in the dorm, double-shift studying and the possibility of the medical college area expansion. The rector noted that the new headquarters will allow students to make better use of their time.

- We pay great attention to the development of student self-government; our university cannot exist without it. We need to understand what the students themselves want, and aspire to turn their wishes into reality, - said Oleg Nikolaevich.
