Scientists, Master students and undergraduate students discussed current issues of Russian as a foreign language teaching and study

The event marked VIII Regional Festival of Science and was held via videoconferencing bringing together participants from Russia, China, Ecuador, Jordan, Brazil. Sun Jikhao, the graduate of BelSU Institute of Intercultural Communication and International Relations, a Master student of BelSU Higher School of Economics joined the colleagues in Moscow.

The reports were dedicated to theoretical and practical issues of Russian language teaching in various linguistic and cultural environments, challenges of the language and intercultural communication, the role of translation as the understanding and teaching tool as well as the difficulties in learning and understanding experienced by students in the subject. Much attention was given to discussing the significance of professional environment as a factor to foster communicative skills of students and profession acquisition. The conference outcomes allowed the organizers to define the perspectives and formats of research work with international students.
