International students of Belgorod State University became the winners of International Contest “Time to Speak Russian!”

The contest “Time to Speak Russian!” was held via videoconferencing on the Zoom platform as part of the Program of Russian language Promotion Abroad (2021-2025). Among the participants there were 145 international students from BelSU, BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov, BelGAU named after V.Y. Gorin, Penza State University, Tula State University, as well as students of Thaingguyen special school (Vietnam).

The testing was divided into two rounds: in the first students wrote an essay on a video they watched, the second assumed a monologue presentation based on a video on about friendship and understanding between people of different nationalities, social level and physical abilities.

All contest participants demonstrated a high level of proficiency in Russian language and other communicative competencies. The jury marked the best contestants in the following nominations: “For Original Topic Interpretation” – Arellano Trugillo Alison Madeleine (BelSU); “For Original Speech Content in Russian” – Natasha Luxa, Al-Nasravi Nukha, Melahessu Amir Shems Eddin (BelSU).
