Belgorod State University continue fruitful cooperation with the regional government

Belgorod State University and the Ministry of Finance and Budgetary Policy of Belgorod Region extend the cooperation agreement

Belgorod State University has been closely and fruitfully cooperating with the regional agency for almost twenty years. In 2019 a cooperation agreement was signed between the university and the Department of Finance and Budgetary Policy of Belgorod region (named as the Ministry of Finance and Budgetary Policy in 2022) which define the key areas of the partnership development as well as a set of measures aimed at implementing a practice-oriented approach in educational activities. As part of the cooperation agreement, a thematic classroom for finance studies was opened at the university at the Department of Innovative Economics and Finance of the Institute of Economics and Management.

This year Belgorod State University and the Ministry of Finance and Budgetary Policy of Belgorod Region agreed to continue cooperation by extending the previous agreement and adding new cooperation areas such as financial literacy promotion and joint research. As a result of the joint initiative the Action Plan was updated.

In addition, the parties discussed prospects of implementing joint educational programmes. The possibility and steps for establishing an integrated regional centre for financial literacy were also discussed during the meeting. This project is currently under discussion.

Implementation of the agreement signed will be another step towards training and developing young literate professionals.
