Italian delegation visit Belgorod State University

Work meetings were held with Studio Coppi and Feraboli Zootech companies and the representatives of the University of Parma

The negotiations were conducted by Vladislav Kuchshisty, the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation of Belgorod State University, Alexey Khmyrov, the Director of the Centre for BelSU Projects Implemented under REC, Mikhail Tretyakov, the Head of Plant Genetics and Breeding Laboratory of BelSU Botanical Garden as well as the representatives of the Institute of Intercultural Communication and International Relations, the Institute of Pharmacy, Chemistry and Biology, and the Institute of Engineering and Digital Technology.

The previous visit of Mr. Francesco Feraboli and Mr. Paolo Coppi representing Feraboli Zootech and Studio Coppi to BelSU by took place in September 2021. The Italian delegation got acquainted with the projects implemented by the university under REC �Innovative Solutions in Agri-Business� that allowed to outline common points of interest.

The latest visit was dedicated to discussion the issues of joint cooperation between the parties and the University of Parma. The Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Vladislav Kuchmisty confirmed the university�s will to sign a cooperation agreement within the regular deadline and handed an official letter by the Rector Oleg Polukhin addressing the head of the Italian university to the Italian delegation.

During the visit the priority areas of cooperation were defined. In particular, the representatives of Feraboli Zootech expressed an interest in developing a face recognition system for agricultural facilities. In turn, BelSU presented a number of projects to the partners including those involving the facilities of BelSU Botanical Garden.
