Application of patent analytics tools discussed at the international forum

The International Forum brought together the leading experts in the field of intellectual property and technology transfer from Russia, Singapore, France, Japan, Germany, the USA, China and other countries. The work was structured into 14 sections and included plenary sessions, round tables and master-classes. Belgorod State University was represented by the delegation of Regional Intellectual Property Centre headed by the Director Dmitry Ushakov.

Heads of regions and executive authorities, representatives of development institutions (Agency for Technological Development, Skolkovo Foundation) shared best practices in the innovations development and technology transfer at the regional level. Among the key topics discussed were integration of patent analytics and its application for the challenges faced by regions in the context of the new digital economy ecosystem. Practices for enhancing the efficiency of technology transfer and scouting through patent analytics as a tool for achieving these objectives were considered.

The master-classes were conducted by the experts of FIPS Project Office, Agency for Technological Development, Kazan High Technologies Technopark “IT-Park” and others.

Prior to the forum Rospatent together with Sirius University conducted a number of skill workshops on patent analytics that that were attended by 62 students and postgraduates from 40 Russian universities.
