New vistas of «Education without borders»

Delegations of 27 universities from five countries held in Belgorod annual meetings of SCO work. Eighty thousand educational establishments from six countries are members of SCOU. This international university teaches students in seven sciences: nanotechnologies, ecology, economy, energetics, pedagogics, regional studies and IT. Belgorod State University is a basic educational facility of SCOU in all sciences except energetics; it also realizes educational programs with five universities of China, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan. During the forum, the principal of BelSU Prof. Oleg Polukhin signed 12 more cooperation agreements with the universities of SCO member countries. The participants of Education Week’s plenary meetings estimated a possibility of cooperative bachelor programs in “2+2” educational system. Many magister programs are already put into action, but the first SCOU certificates were given to ten foreign students of BelSU with double degree diplomas. Next year, SCOU celebrates it’s 10th anniversary. The jubilee 10th Education Week of SCOU’s foundation will take place in People’s Republic of China.
